Lavender blue Dilly-dilly Lavender green If I were king Dilly-dilly I'd need a queen Whoa-oh, who told me so Dilly-dilly Who told me so I told myself Dilly-dilly I told me so If your dilly-dilly heart Feels a dilly-dilly way If you'll answer yes In a pretty little church On a dilly-dilly day You'll be wed in a dilly-dilly dress of Lavender blue Dilly-dilly Lavender green Then I'll be king Dilly-dilly You'll be my queen Then I'll be king Dilly-dilly You'll be my queen Whilst tidying my room today I came across some of you lavender talcum-powder. I immediately thought of when I was younger and you would put me upon your knee and sing this. It was always a comfort for me when I was upset, when I accidentally pulled Scampi's and Bobbie's tails and they ran upstairs away from me. I miss you awfully and I don't think I can bring myself to make my own eggs as who else but you could make a 16 year old the best eggs and soldiers? I won't miss you telling me to tie my hair up whenever I encountered toothpaste, food or drink. When I was younger and you'd make me explain sex, myself being naive I described it to be like "jumping frogs" and you'd laugh and I wouldn't get why. I missed your presents this birthday, there was so much thought out into them. I loved purple so everything you got me would be purple ( I still have the raincoat). I loved Dalmatians-you gave me a Dalmatian teddy and when I said I wanted to be a vet -you gave me that animal anatomy book that I know wasn't too cheap and the list goes on. To end some of my younger memories in a better light I can still laugh when you gave me "Pear juice" when in fact it was pear cider.
